Kids, kids, kids.

Kyle and I both teach in the public school system. Sometimes we are stressed beyond belief and other times we absolutely feel blessed by the students and our coworkers.
There are other times where I can't do anything except laugh. Take this for instance:

Last Friday in Senior English:

Boy1: Yeah. We're bros.
Girl: Who? You and him or you and Entzel?
B1: Dude. Me and Entzel. We're bros.
G: Entzel, are you two bros?
Me: We are?
B1: Yeah. Totally.
Me: Well, if I'm your bro, are you my sis?
B1: Yeah. Ms. R says that to me too.
Boy2: Ms. R told me that I smell like tuna.

It's times like this that I have to laugh and there's not much else for me to do! Those are the days that I enjoy seeing the influences we as teachers have on our students.

*Here is where most of my hours are spent every week.*

And in all reality, right now I wouldn't trade it for the world. Sure, some days I want to pull my hair out and I want to scream and go home at noon. BUT, then my job wouldn't be as rewarding. I'm not here because I'm such a good teacher. I'm here because my passion is to be here for those kids.

*Happy Tuesday!
