Toms Shoes--RUN!

If you love Toms like we do...make sure you get over to their site today. Seriously.

TODAY.

They're having their end of the season sale and it is over...you guessed it....TODAY.

During this sale last year, I scored some suuuuuper cute high tops for Lewis and they've been perfect for him as a new walker. They fit great, they're easy to slip on, AND they stay on.

Plus, if you sign up to be a Passport Rewards member (free!), you'll get an extra 5% off.

25% off! That's awesome. Plus as a PR member, you get free shipping (at least with this promo).

Okay...enough about why it's so great (it seriously is). Here's what I scored for Lewis this year. *heart eye emoji here*

these in a 6 for next fall/winter

these in a 5 for this spring/summer/fall

But let's be real. Aren't they adorable?? Okay. Now head on over here to check it out!

Also...you'll get 12% back with Ebates. Click here to sign up. Plus we both get a bonus if you use my code. You rock, BTW.

Happy Wednesday!

Lew's Favorites

Lewis is certainly coming into his own nicely. He's learning and changing from a baby into a little boy right before my eyes.

Some of his favorites right now are...

...saying "hieeeeee!" with as much gusto as a mom in Target alone.

...dancing to anything and everything. When the music stops, he shouts "moooorrrr!" and waits for music to resume.

...laughing when someone tells a joke. Often, he's the first one to laugh at it.

...climbing up the stairs and sliding down on his tummy...over and over and over.

...shouting either "maaaaaaaamaaa!" or "daaaaaaaaa!" and when we respond he just giggles.

...eating Dad's tums out of his dopp kit.

...telling us when something is "haaaawwt" or "cooooood".

...helping with everything...opening the car door...closing the dishwasher...throwing garbage away...putting his shoes in their basket...you get the picture.

He's a funny little bean (with a double ear infection) and he cracks us up.

6 Months: Lewis

Our little ham bone turned 6 months old yesterday! He's sitting up on his own, often smiley, and he loves to make others smile.

At his appointment this afternoon, Lewis weighed  14 lbs 6 oz (4th percentile) and measured 25.5 in (9th percentile) long! So he's still a peanut. He's growing up and as much as we miss the snuggly little newborn stage, it's been so fun to watch him grow and learn.

Lewis loves: peas, squash, sweet potatoes, celery, mushrooms, & teething biscuits.
He does not like: sleeping alone (still), waiting to be picked up...when he really wants to be held, & being awake in the evenings.

Here are some outtakes from his photo shoot yesterday. He had a super cute outfit on, but he spit up on Dad only 20 min prior to these pics. Not impressed, bud.

He went swimming for the first time and while he wasn't sure what to think right away, once he figured out how to splash--he had so much fun! He would've played for quite a while if his pesky chin hadn't started quivering.

Doesn't he look like a little boy and not a baby??

Daycare has been better lately. He loves his daycare lady and he's been working on waving good-bye to people! He's rocking his flannel and continuing to look like a bald old man.

Lew and Mom went grocery shopping one Saturday morning while dad was recovering from (another) cold. So naturally, we had to stop at Tim Horton's. He'll learn early on that Saturdays are for TimBits and coffee.

Even though he doesn't like to sleep in his crib at night, he does nap very well in it during the day.

He even naps well on the bathroom floor! :)

It's been such a fun month with little Lewis. We love watching him explore and learn things every day. We even love noticing that his hair is growing...finally!

Lew, your dad and I love you so much. You're the perfect addition to our family...even if you don't sleep in your own bed yet.

Five Months: Lewis

This is a week late, but with baby Charlotte's surgery being today, I didn't want another post on here before her get better day. Updates will be posted to the original post about Charlotte. So keep checking there.

Lewis turned 5 months last Monday. We were still on Christmas break and loving it.

He didn't have an appointment this month, so I'm not sure what his stats are. But he has been growing like crazy. He's still a peanut, but he's tall.

Lewis loves to visit and he loves people. (I'm not entirely sure where he got that from...) And he's interested in learning about everything going on around him.

In the last month, Lewis has had two snow days (the third being after his 5 mo marker), celebrated a whole week of Christmas, went to his first wedding, celebrated his first New Years, learned to nap by himself (YES!), and has gotten sick again. Stinking colds.

Three new things he's started this month are: making a really loud "mmmmmmmm" sound whenever he's unhappy...hungry, tired of being with a certain toy, tired of tummy time, etc....resting his arm over whatever he's leaning against, and folding his hands when he's pleased with himself.

We love you, Lewis. And we are so glad you're here!

Just a little update.

The last ten weeks have been life-changing, exciting, overwhelming, busy, exhausting, fun, challenging...all-in-all...it's been a blur.

Life since Lewis was born has been better than I had ever hoped. And starting on Monday, my maternity leave will officially be over and I'll head back to work. We are so thankful that we have wonderful daycare lined up, but nonetheless, it'll still be hard to leave Lewis with someone other than me or Kyle.

Here are a few snapshots of who he is now. :)

 Such a joyful baby

Lewis loves to talk

We love shopping at Target...especially while asleep

One month on the left, two months on the right

We love each other

Lewis is in the house...

Well, I'm sure most of you have seen our most recent update to the #babyentzel saga. Baby Lewis Eugene is here and he's home. This is just a short update to keep you in the loop.

Lewis' birth story will be coming up here in a week or so, so stay tuned. But for today, just a little look at the timeline of his birth and arrival home.

Monday, August 1: Induction date

Here I am at 6:45 on Monday morning. I'm 41 weeks and 1 day pregnant...and so ready to be done.

Tuesday, August 2: Lewis' birthday

Friday, August 5: I was discharged from the hospital, but I chose to stay with Lewis for the night.

Sunday, August 7: Lewis was moved to a new room.

Tuesday, August 9: Lewis came home!

These signs were on our doors when we arrived home on Monday evening. We HAD to document this exciting day. Thanks for the lovely signs, Trosens!

Lewis had a few visitors and has been the center of attention since he arrived. We are tickled to have him here and we have quite the story to share.

Thank you to the Labor and Delivery staff, OB staff, and NICU staff at Altru Hospital! We were taken care of and then some. While I don't ever want to spend that much time in a hospital again, I'm so thankful for everyone who was there to treat, help, and reassure us throughout the entire process.

Be on the lookout for Lewis' birth story! And if you think of it, pray for Lewis to sleep well at night and for me to continue healing.

Happy Thursday!
